It is produced by joining layers of glass to a PVB film, becoming safety glass by retaining fragments in case of breakage, reducing the risk of accidents.
The laminated glass produced by PKO Vidros complies with the ABNT NBR 14.697 standard. It is manufactured using a heat and pressure process that joins two or more sheets of glass to a PVB (polyvinyl butyral) film, which makes this product a safety glass, as there is a reduction in the risk of accidents. caused by breakage, due to its characteristic of keeping glass fragments stuck to the film.
The glass can be laminated with SentryGlas® film, replacing PVB, enhancing the product's safety level, as this product is 100 times more rigid than common PVB. This also makes it possible, in many cases, to reduce the thickness of the glass, maintaining the same level of resistance of the piece.
