Confortec® Insulated Glass

Insulated glass, or double glass, is obtained through hermetically sealed glass sheets with an air chamber between them, providing thermal and acoustic insulation.

Insulated glass, also called double glass, is obtained by including an air chamber between two or more sheets of glass. This set receives a double seal, becoming hermetically sealed. This air chamber between the glass makes the product an excellent thermal and acoustic insulator.

One of PKO's exclusive features is to offer customers double or triple Confortec® insulated glass (overlap) on up to four sides. Processing can be done on different profile measurements and widths, in any sequence.

PKO also produces insulated glass in accordance with the recently published technical standard, ABNT NBR 16015.

Benefits of Confortec® Insulated Glass

• Versatility for combining with different types of glass, such as laminated, tempered, solar control, among others, adapting to the desired performance;

• Allows installation of internal blinds, ensuring privacy, light control, easy maintenance and cleaning;

 • Excellent thermal insulator, ideal for places with intense temperature variations, whether in hot or cold environments, being widely used in the refrigeration market;

 • The air chamber provides a significant reduction in sound reverberation, giving the product acoustic insulation properties, which can be enhanced by injecting argon gas into the chamber and/or applying it with laminated glass;

Main Applications:

  • Saunas;
  • Wine cellars;
  • Doors and windows;
  • Coverings;
  • Air-conditioned environments
  • Refrigeration equipment
  • Environments that require thermoacoustic insulation.
